The Carnival has been quiet and frankly boring. Samuel has been posturing, more so than usual, bringing more specials in. He's so arrogant that Gabriel's disappearance hasn't really even registered as a blip on his egomaniacal radar.
Edgar has left, i sent him to take care of Amanda. It's quite impressive, the control I wield over him, barely a flick of my wrist and he's off running. I trust him to take care of my daughter. I don't want her here, she's a child and innocent. There is no place for her in my world. Maybe once upon a time, but that fairy tale is well over.
I wander through the carnival, flashing a fake smile to all those that I pass in my wake. I've just finished a rather tiresome conversation with King Samuel, our Sire wanted his ounce of flesh from me to locate his newest prey. He wasn't pleased with the results. I do not know what his plan is but I know that he is up to no good. If he wasn't so stuck on himself he would see the disgust in my eyes with every glance his way. He thinks I'm stupid. He is wrong. I've been biding my time.
Edgar is gone now leaving me alone, I must adapt, come up with a new plan. I enter my trailer, not bother to turn on the light. I'm not in the mood today. I want the flickering of the candlelight, the aroma from the wax to clear my mind. I start a pot of tea before moving to undress. My bed is calling my name.
