OOC - Rough Day for LJ

When LJ shut down this morning my ISP address was locked out. They flagged my ISP as SPAM. I kept trying for hours and hours to get into the site. All of my friends got back in, but I couldn't. After six hours I tried to see if I could log in from my phone, and that worked. So I emailed the nice people at LJ to say HEY!!

Thankfully once they found out I wasn't a Bot or Spammer, I got access restored.

But I have to tell you guys. I was having withdrawals. I missed my FLIST. At one point LJ and Twitter were down at the same time, and I was so frustrated.

I did get some writing done. The end of Eliza Bishop's tale will be posted tomorrow.

I had the same exact issue. I don't have any idea what LJ is playing at with all of these epic fails lately, but they better quit it!

Yeah I really don't understand why we got tagged. It was extremely aggravating. Glad you got back in too.

It could be that your IPs were close to one that was putting out spam. I think LJ did a blanket ban of those numbers just to be safe - which sucks because a lot of legit users were involved in that.

I was getting frantic for awhile there. After so many years on LJ, I panic when I can't get on.

I think the fact that we both have paid accounts and they still banned us for awhile is cause for concern. If I pay for a service I expect to be able to use it properly. I could understand if it was a free account, which most spam accounts are, but comeon' LJ... get it together.

Yeah there is that too, and my personal account has been paid for, for going on 8 years. I am going to send them a letter of complaint, and see if I can't guilt them into some LJ tokens or something.
